SYSID 2009 - Information for speakers and attendees


Registration and conference secretariat

The SYSID 2009 registration desk will be located within the Palais du Grand Large, the symposium venue. Opening hours:

Monday 6th July
Tuesday 7th July
Wednesday 8th July

Late registrations can be made at the registration desk.

Both full registration and student registration fees include admission to the welcome cocktail, the three lunches, the visit of the Mont Saint-Michel abbeye, all the technical sessions, a USB key with the symposium preprints and a printed book of abstracts which includes the final program.

Full registration also includes access to the symposium banquet.

Further tickets for the symposium banquet, the welcome cocktail, and the visit of the Mont Saint-Michel abbeye, are available for purchase from the secretariat.

Speaker information: oral presentations

Each presentation room is equipped with data-projector (beamer), laptop, overhead viewgraph projector and radio lapel microphone.

It is recommended that speakers arrive fifteen minutes before the start of their session with their USB key to load their presentation on the laptop of the session room.

Technical support is available in each presentation room should difficulties arise.

Attendees with special needs

Attendees with special needs are encouraged to contact the conference secretariat.

Internet access

All the rooms and conference halls are equipped with wireless internet hotspots to provide internet access (SDSL connection).

Identification badges

Each registrant will receive a name badge, which we request is worn throughout the conference and at social gatherings.

Lunch arrangements

Both full registration and student registration fees include the three lunches (Monday to Wednesday) to be served at the symposium venue.

Smoking

French law does not permit smoking in public buildings, and hence the entire Palais du Grand Large is a non-smoking area.
